I’m Evan Powell, an artist and designer combining traditional, artisanal craftsmanship with my background in Industrial Design. I collaborate with designers, architects, and businesses to create site-specific artworks that shape the mood and style of a space, and often help tell its story.

While ceramics remain at the core of my practice, I work across a wide range of materials, choosing each for its ability to enhance the concept and atmosphere of a project. My work is created with its environment in mind, using texture, form, and material to shape the atmosphere and leave a lasting impression

I began my career in Denver’s Art District, running my first design studio and teaching on restored vintage pottery wheels with brass wheel heads (the inspiration for my studio name). Now based in Barcelona, I continue to explore how craftsmanship and art can transform spaces into experiences.
